"This is the absolute worst internet service in America."
This is the absolute worst internet service in America. The customer service is also the worst I have ever experienced. I strongly advise avoiding it at all costs.

The internet service is absolutely terrible, and the customer service is even worse. The technicians are completely incompetent. However, I made the switch to Cox and it has been a much better experience. Not only is it less expensive, but the customer service is fantastic. I am also thrilled that I was able to lock in a great price for five years without having to sign a contract.

The internet service is absolutely terrible, and the customer service is even worse. The technicians are completely incompetent. However, I made the switch to Cox and it has been a much better experience. Not only is it less expensive, but the customer service is fantastic. "My experience with Centurylink has been quite disappointing."
My experience with Centurylink has been absolutely terrible. Over the past three months, I have been facing constant issues with receiving my emails, and the service itself has been extremely unreliable. I have made at least six phone calls to their representatives, but unfortunately, none of them were able to provide me with any answers or even direct me to someone who could assist me (a real person, that is). I have also tried using their chat feature on four separate occasions, but to no avail. I don't blame the customer service representatives themselves, as they seem to be surrounded by various obstacles such as a lack of resources and information, preventing them from guiding me towards the right person to address my email problems. After each chat session, I diligently filled out their response form, desperately seeking help, but I never received any calls or notifications in return. I even resorted to sending emails requesting assistance, but unfortunately, I never received a single response. It truly baffles me how a company like this can continue to exist.

They are facing financial difficulties due to the high cost and outdated nature of their internet service, as well as their poor customer service.

I cannot express enough negative things about this company. Firstly, my internet stopped working after a week of attempting to troubleshoot online and speaking with unhelpful bots and indifferent individuals. I was transferred back and forth numerous times, having to repeat myself constantly because it seems they do not keep any records of previous calls or exchanged information (apparently their employees are incapable of taking notes). I had a repair appointment scheduled, but after six hours of troubleshooting, it became evident that it did not resolve the issue. I waited for several days before calling again, only to discover that they had never even scheduled the repair in the first place. When I called to address the situation, they had nothing to say and showed no consideration. They informed me that they could not send anyone to fix the problem until next week. At this point, I am contemplating accumulating my bills and switching to a different service provider, forcing them to pay off my remaining balance. CenturyLink is a complete joke. Save your time and money by using their competitors instead.

"My mother is an 84-year-old widow."
My mother is an 84-year-old widow. In the past 6 months, CenturyLink has experienced two outages, both of which were their own fault. I made it clear to them that my mother would be left without phone service and expressed concerns about what would happen in case of an emergency. It took them a whole week to send someone out to repair the line, which was accidentally cut by their service technician during a cable upgrade. The second time, it took them 5 days to fix the issue. Their customer service is absolutely terrible. Unfortunately, they are making Comcast seem like a more viable option. We decided to switch providers partly due to their poor customer service.

"This experience was incredibly frustrating, filled with incompetence, and ultimately a complete waste of my valuable time."
I find it extremely frustrating to deal with Centurylink and Lumen. Their automated customer service is completely useless, and it seems like their employees are trained to avoid doing any actual work. I highly recommend avoiding them at all costs and finding a better alternative.

“I would strongly advise against paying your bill to Centurylink. Their customer service is absolutely abysmal, possibly the worst you can find anywhere. If you want to effectively cancel any services with them, the best approach is to withhold payment. Refrain from giving them any money, and eventually they will understand your dissatisfaction.”

“I wouldn't recommend either option. Centurylink's routers are notorious for being the absolute worst in the world. They are essentially designed to fail, and no matter which one you choose, it won't last longer than six months. If you're unfortunately stuck with Centurylink and in need of a reliable router, I suggest heading to Best Buy and seeking out a Netgear router. The staff there can assist you in setting it up properly.”
